To capture the right moment, I think it is always a combination of luck and a little bit of patience. Practice, of course, is the other ingredient. Whether I am with my camera or not, I am constantly looking at the interaction of lines, shapes, spaces, movements and observe how light falls in my environment. I mentally compose pictures and imagine that I am looking through a viewfinder. It is not something I force myself to do. It is a habit. The camera is only as good as the person looking behind it.
