©Francesca WoodmanI discovered Francesca Woodman while I was a student working part time in the school library. Although she passed away at the age of 23, her work continues to inspire a new generation of photographers. Francesca's haunting self portraits evoke a metaphorical narrative drawn from her feelings of confusion, angst, pain, suffering and loneliness. Some of her images (as shown above) mimic apparitions, treading between the physical and spiritual worlds. You can view more of her work here.
