Las Vegas

My sister at the Wynn Las Vegas

My sister attends an annual convention in Las Vegas. We were able to join her there last weekend. This was an opportunity for me to get a glimpse of her life on the road. It was three days of tightly scheduled networking events. Sunday, she woke up at 5:00am to play a round of golf that ended at two in the afternoon. She napped for an hour then we squeezed a short scenic drive to Red Rock Canyon. Afterwards, she hopped in the shower as soon as we arrived at the hotel and dressed up for another event at the Hard Rock Cafe. She did not get to bed until after midnight.

The next morning, she woke up at five and played another round of golf with a different set of colleagues. She returned to the room, took a power nap for 30 minutes then showered and changed to attend a meeting then a women's dinner she organized at the Bellagio.

On her last day, she was at the convention center to meet more colleagues.

This is her eighth year traveling to Las Vegas. She has worked in different places and has built a significant network of business relationships over time. She attributes her success to this: "It's about having a strong work ethic, building trust and nurturing these relationships." Opportunities keep coming her way and she feels very grateful for them.

I am so proud of my little sister.
